Product information
Nitric acid is the best known and most stable oxygen acid of nitrogen. The acid has been produced on an industrial scale since 1908 in the Ostwald process by catalytic oxidation of ammonia. Nitric acid is used in the production of fertilizers as well as a dye intermediate, cleaning agent, and as a raw material in the chemical industry.
