Guidance for compliant behavior

Our compliance management system ensures general awareness of the applicable law, our internal rules, and the regulatory standards recognized by the company, and guarantees the monitoring of adherence to these.

We are committed to living the principle of "good corporate governance" at CFK. We do not tolerate systemic weaknesses and maladministration, neither in compliance nor elsewhere. CFK pursues a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and bribery.

Our compliance organization

Our parent company - K+S AG - is a member of the German Institute for Compliance (DICO).  As a subsidiary, CFK is fully integrated into the compliance organization of K+S and we have to comply with the same standards.

Our parent company - K+S Aktiengesellschaft - is a member of the German Institute for Compliance (DICO) and therefore participates in the latest developments in compliance.

The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of K+S Aktiengesellschaft is responsible for the coordination and documentation of Group-wide compliance activities. He reports directly to the Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors. The CCO chairs the central Governance, Risk and Compliance Committee, which comprises the compliance and risk management officers of the major companies as well as the heads of compliance-relevant central functions of the Company (e. g. Internal Audit, Legal, HR). Significant compliance violations are reported to the CCO, who reports to the Board of Executive Directors.
Compliance responsibility is assumed by the management of the Group companies as well as the management of the central functions. At CFK, the management issues an annual compliance declaration to the Group parent company and is advised by the compliance officer of CFK.

The Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board of K+S Aktiengesellschaft regularly addresses the functionality of the compliance management system of the K+S Group.

K+S Compliance Hotline

If something's wrong, do the right thing

In order to maintain the integrity of the K+S Group and avert potential damage, it is our concern to be informed about all potential ethics and compliance violations.

Every employee is called upon to report compliance violations or concrete suspected cases, preferably to their supervisor, the Compliance Officer responsible, or by e-mail to compliance@k-plus-s.com.

In addition, employees and third parties can use the secure electronic whistleblower system "SPEAK UP!" to report possible or actual violations of laws or regulations - also anonymously - and to ask questions about compliance issues. The "SPEAK UP!" whistleblower system is a K+S Group-wide platform through which reports can be submitted by telephone or electronically.

The reports are received and processed by the central compliance department for investigation. There is, of course, no basis for being worried about any negative consequences in the event of filing a report.
