Ammonia water

Ammonia water is the term for aqueous solutions of ammonia (NH3) of different concentrations. The solution is colorless, has a pungent odor and reacts alkaline. In the chemical industry, ammonia serves as a base material for the synthesis of many compounds and is used, among other things, for nitrogen reduction. A large proportion of the ammonia produced worldwide is processed into fertilizers. Ammonia water is also applied in the organic chemical industry, such as in the production of plastics and synthetic fibers.
